A few months ago Holly Boyce, founder of Friends of the Bald Woman, contacted me to see if I would be interested in helping out with their 2013 calendar.  I jumped at the chance!  Holly, who is The Bald Woman, recently celebrated her two year anniversary of being cancer free.  She found me through the organization Shoots for a Cure, for which I am a volunteer photographer.  If you know of any individual, male or female, young or old, that has been diagnosed with cancer or completed treatment within the past 12 months, they qualify for a Shoots for a Cure Session – please forward their information to me or tell them about this opportunity. Sessions are available to document the fight before or during treatment or to celebrate the victory when treatment is completed.  The session is free and comes with ten free small photos of their choice, along with a discount on additional (optional) print orders.

Holly is a member of a support group and she had four friends in mind for me to shoot for her calendar.  These ladies know how to have fun!  Meet Lisa, Sue, Mary and Wendy.  As Sue said, “life is not over, cancer doesn’t always win!”  The calendar will be out next month – can’t wait to see it!
